The Consulate General oversees 13 Midwestern states, namely Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Missouri, Indiana, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, and North Dakota.
These Midwestern states, located in the center of North America, constitute a key area in the United States as they have served as financial hubs and industrial heartland and also played a crucial role in politics, academia and education.
Since its opening in 1968, the Consulate General has worked towards expanding economic and cultural exchange between the Republic of Korea and the U.S. Midwest. We will continue to endeavor to strengthen the existing ties between our two countries in the U.S. Midwest and promote the rights and interests of the Korean community there. In the process, we will also listen attentively to the diverse voices in the Korean community.
We appreciate your understanding and support in these endeavors.
Thank you.
